Basic Mathematics & Vector Chapter End Test
Scalars Vs. Vectors :Physical quantities are divided into 2 categories
(a) Scalar
(b) Vectors
Scalars : The quantities which have only magnitude and which are not related to any fixed
direction in space.
ex. distance.
Vectors : The quantities which have both
(i) magnitude &
(ii) direction
ex. displacement.
Note : Scalars are just real numbers & hence are added, subtracted, multiplied etc. like numbers.
